According to the new prices, which are part of the Finance Act 2024, a Re1 court fee ticket has been hiked to Rs200,
while a Rs2 ticket has been increased to Rs500. Lawyers argue that this significant increase will ultimately burden applicants, as they will now have to pay Rs500 for a one-page copy of a form and affix a Rs500 ticket on every application filed.
