Punjab Government Sets Roti Price at Rs. 14
The price for a 20 kg bag of flour has been set at Rs. 1810.
Lahore -(Asif Iqbal)-Punjab government has issued new official prices for Roti and Flour. A notification has been issued by the Food Department under the direction of the Chief Minister of Punjab. According to the notification, a 100-gram Roti will be sold for no more than Rs. 14. The price of a 10 kg bag of flour has been set at Rs. 905, while a 20 kg bag will cost Rs. 1810.
A spokesperson for the Price Control and Commodities Management Department stated that compliance with the new prices will be strictly enforced, and no one will be allowed to engage in artificial price hikes or illegal hoarding.
Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari confirmed these prices in a statement, adding that the government would not permit anyone to increase prices under the pretext of floods. She also shared copies of the official notification.
