Punjab Government Instates Section 144 to Ensure Smooth Exam Conduct

The Punjab government has decided to implement Section 144 in seven cities across the province to ensure the smooth execution of the Public Service Commission examinations.

This move comes in response to instructions from the provincial government, with the Punjab Home Department issuing a notification regarding the decision.

Section 144 will be enforced on Saturday, September 28, and Sunday, September 29, in the following cities: Lahore, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, and Dera Ghazi Khan. The restrictions will be effective around examination centers from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

As per the notification, only candidates and examination supervisory staff will be allowed entry into the exam centers. Additionally, the movement of unauthorized individuals will be strictly restricted within a 100-yard radius of these centers in the affected cities.

The Punjab Public Service Commission has established a total of 25 examination centers in these locations to accommodate various exams.
