Lahore (Web Desk) — In a major relief for citizens, the Punjab Excise and Taxation Department has announced a new digital facility for the buying and selling of vehicles through online biometric verification.
With the support of NADRA Technologies, the Excise and Taxation Department Punjab has introduced a modern digital system aimed at simplifying and securing vehicle transfer procedures. Under this initiative, Pak-ID has been launched for online biometric verification of vehicle owners.
Through Pak-ID, citizens can now complete biometric verification for vehicle transactions from their homes with just a single click, eliminating the need for physical visits to excise offices.

The new online biometric system will benefit not only local residents but also overseas Pakistanis. Using Pak-ID, biometric verification can be carried out online, removing the requirement for manual affidavits or verification through Pakistani embassies.
Officials stated that the initiative is part of the government’s broader efforts to promote digital governance, enhance transparency, and provide convenience to the public in vehicle registration and transfer processes.
