Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz Orders Tight Security for Chand Raat and Eid-ul-Fitr
To curb one-wheeling on Chand Raat, the police will set up checkpoints at 55 locations.
LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has issued orders for foolproof security arrangements during Chand Raat and Eid-ul-Fitr.
The Chief Minister has directed an increase in the presence of women police squads in markets on Chand Raat, emphasizing the need to ensure the safety of women and children in the markets at all costs.
Following her instructions, additional police forces have been deployed at 65 commercial centers in Lahore. Additionally, drones and night vision binoculars have been introduced for surveillance in markets and shopping areas.
To curb one-wheeling on Chand Raat, the police will set up checkpoints at 55 locations. Furthermore, 225 police officers have been assigned duty near ATMs and banks to ensure public safety.
