LAHORE: (Web Desk) – For the first time in history, the Punjab Education Commission (PEC) will conduct the Class 8 annual examinations on digital e-sheets across Punjab starting Wednesday.
Answer sheets will be scanned and evaluated electronically, while the papers will be collected through the Chief Education Officers (CEOs) of the respective districts.
The PEC had earlier announced that the exams for Class 8 students will begin on March 9, 2026. According to the schedule, students will first sit for Mathematics on March 9, followed by Urdu on March 10, English on March 11, and Science on March 12. These four core subjects will be administered by the PEC, while assessments for other subjects will be conducted by individual schools.

The commission has instructed all candidates to arrive at their examination centers at least 30 minutes before the start of each paper. Exam timings are from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.
PEC has confirmed that final results will be announced on April 9, marking the successful completion of Punjab’s first fully digital Class 8 board exams.
