PTI’s Shaukat Yousafzai Urges Review of Sher Afzal Marwat’s Expulsion

Marwat's Remarks Highlight Growing Tensions Within PTI Over Expulsion

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shaukat Yousafzai called on the party leadership on Thursday to reconsider the recent expulsion of MNA Sher Afzal Marwat, emphasizing the importance of maintaining unity and discipline within the party.

Speaking out against targeting individuals within the party, Yousafzai stated, “Targeting any specific person within the party is unfair. Everybody should be asked to ensure discipline within the party.” He further added, “We do not need a portfolio but respect as party workers,” highlighting the value of respect and unity over positions.

Yousafzai also praised Marwat’s contributions, calling him “valiant” and acknowledging his role as a reliable ally during the party’s difficult times. He noted that the expulsion had left party workers disappointed and concerned about the internal dynamics of PTI.

The statement came after Marwat made his first public remarks following his expulsion from the party, in which he clarified that it was not PTI founder Imran Khan who made the decision to expel him. Instead, Marwat pointed to certain individuals close to Khan as being responsible for the move.
