PTI’s Nationwide Protests Lead to Suspension of Bus Services in Islamabad and Rawalpindi

Authorities brace for potential unrest with heavy police deployment; Punjab closes educational institutions for two days affecting 26 million students.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has called for nationwide protests, leading to the suspension of bus services in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
In anticipation of possible unrest, authorities have deployed a substantial police presence to maintain order and ensure public safety.
The suspension of bus services is intended to minimize large gatherings and manage traffic disruptions expected during the protests.
The Punjab government has also ordered a two-day closure of all educational institutions, affecting students from pre-school to university level.
This move impacts over 26 million students across the province.
Additionally, the Metrobus service in Rawalpindi and Islamabad has been temporarily halted as a precautionary measure.

Security forces remain on high alert, ready to address any disturbances as PTI supporters gear up for demonstrations nationwide.
