PTI’s Dr Yasmin Rashid Criticizes PPP, Calls for Governance Based on Constitution

Dr Yasmin Rashid Accuses PPP Leaders of Misleading Sindh's People

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Dr Yasmin Rashid criticized the government on Thursday, calling for the country to be run in accordance with the constitution rather than introducing controversial laws such as the PECA Act and the 26th constitutional amendment.

In a statement to the media, Dr Rashid strongly condemned the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) for its recent actions, particularly regarding a protest staged by the PPP related to canals. She accused the PPP of attempting to deceive the people of Sindh, stating that they were fully aware of the approval of the canal project by Asif Ali Zardari, former president of Pakistan.

Dr Rashid pointed out that just a few days ago, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, PPP chairman, had supported the concept of cooperative farming, only to later take a contradictory stance. “Everybody knows how Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari misled the people of Sindh,” she remarked.
