Islamabad(Staff Reporter);PTI,s demand for Article 6 Proceedings Against Chief Election Commissioner head line plz, The joint parliamentary party meeting of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Sunni Ittehad Council saw the participation of central leaders and parliamentarians. Detailed discussions were held on the overall political situation in the country and the joint strategy of PTI and Sunni Ittehad Council.

PTI has given time to the Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja and all the ECP members to resign till July 20.

In case of non-resignation, a reference will be filed against the Chief Election Commissioner on July 21. PTI said the Chief Election Commissioner and members should resign by July 20.

“References will be filed against the Chief Election Commissioner from the Center and the four provinces,” PTI said.

As per PTI, the KP government itself will be a party to the reference. “PTI provincial president will file a reference from Balochistan,” PTI said.

The parliamentary party unanimously rejected the government’s decision to ban PTI and initiate Article 6 proceedings against Imran Khan. Participants condemned the government’s move against the PTI chairman, terming it a severe violation of political rights.

In light of the Supreme Court’s decision, PTI demanded Article 6 action against the Chief Election Commissioner for allegedly depriving the party of a level playing field and disenfranchising its candidates. The party cited multiple pieces of evidence, including the confession of Rawalpindi Commissioner Liaquat Chatta, to support its allegations of electoral fraud and misconduct.

The parliamentary party strongly condemned the government’s decision to ban PTI, calling it a sign of desperation and a clear admission of defeat by an unelected government. The declaration stated that banning the country’s most popular political party contradicts the Supreme Court’s decision and aims to obstruct PTI’s reserved seats.

The party expressed serious concerns over the appointment of ad-hoc judges to the Supreme Court, viewing it as a deliberate attempt to undermine the judiciary’s integrity and favor certain individuals. The party condemned the government’s manipulation of judicial appointments to target PTI.

PTI also denounced the government’s attempts to influence the judiciary through threats and manipulation, predicting severe consequences for political stability. The party vowed to resist any unconstitutional attempts to undermine judicial decisions.

The parliamentary party condemned the illegal arrests and enforced disappearances of PTI members, including parliamentarians Sahibzada Amir Sultan and Moazzam Jatoi. The party criticized the ongoing unconstitutional detentions and disappearances as a means to suppress political dissent.

PTI called on the Supreme Court to expedite hearings on petitions related to enforced disappearances and take immediate action for the recovery of missing persons. The party pledged to resist fascist and unconstitutional actions through all available legal means.

The declaration affirmed PTI’s commitment to opposing any unconstitutional attempts to undermine judicial decisions and vowed to raise a strong voice in parliament against illegal arrests and enforced disappearances.

The party concluded with a declaration to continue judicial and legal resistance against unconstitutional measures, ensuring the protection of constitutional rights and the democratic process.
