PTI to Mark February 8 as ‘Black Day’ with Nationwide Protests
ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced plans to observe February 8 as a ‘Black Day’ to mark the one-year anniversary of the general elections, with protests scheduled to take place across the country. Party insiders revealed that PTI Founder Imran Khan has instructed all party lawmakers, including Members of the National Assembly (MNAs) and Provincial Assembly (MPAs), to organize and participate in demonstrations within their respective constituencies to raise awareness about their grievances and concerns.
The decision to observe February 8 as Black Day comes amid growing dissatisfaction within the party, particularly with the performance of certain party members. In a recent meeting with legal advisors, Imran Khan expressed his displeasure with the work of party Information Secretary Sheikh Waqas Akram, emphasizing the need for greater accountability and focus on party discipline. PTI leaders were also given strict instructions to refrain from making any statements against political adversaries, including JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, to maintain unity within the party.
