ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is set to launch its election campaign from tomorrow (Saturday).
Party leader Barrister Gohar Ali Khan declared the initiation of the PTI’s comprehensive election campaign starting Jan 20.
He said that a complete list of PTI candidates would be issued on Friday (today), even though the party has not finalised candidates for all National Assembly seats.
According to Gohar, PTI Vice-President Sher Afzal Marwat will spearhead the party’s full-fledged election drive across Sindh, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The party has also announced that it will hold its second virtual public meeting on the same day at 7pm.
Mr Gohar, Mr Hasan, Omar Ayub, and other party leaders will address the public rally, which will be broadcast live on all social media platforms.

The PTI recently faced internal strife when PTI central spokesperson Rauf Hasan and Vice-President Sher Afzal Marwat traded allegations, leading to the latter being called back from campaigning in Karachi. Nevertheless, Gohar asserted that the issue had been settled.
Gohar urged PTI workers and supporters to concentrate on the election campaign enduring challenges, and anticipating victory on Feb 8.
PTI Leader Khayal Kastro Arrested; Party Condemns Move as Gutter Politics
Former provincial minister and PTI leader Khayal Kastro has been arrested in Faisalabad from the Kecheri district, as confirmed by police sources.
Responding to the arrest, PTI leader Munis Elahi expressed strong condemnation, stating that everyone witnessed what happened with Khayal Kastro. He emphasized that although there are objections to the internal PTI elections, the party does not support enticing candidates.
Munis Elahi further asserted that such disgraceful actions have tarnished the system. He stressed that this reprehensible act is a stain on the entire political process.
