PTI leader Shaukat Yousafzai offloaded at Islamabad Airport

Yousafzai said that he was being stopped without any reason and would be approaching the High Court to have his name removed from the ECL.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shaukat Yousafzai was offloaded from a UK-bound flight at Islamabad airport on Monday.

Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) barred the PTI leader from traveling to the United Kingdom due to his name on the Exit Control List (ECL).

Yousafzai said that he was being stopped without any reason and would be approaching the High Court to have his name removed from the ECL. Shaukat Yousafzai was traveling to Manchester to meet his daughter when he was stopped by the FIA at the airport.

He was informed that his name was on the ECL and therefore he was not allowed to travel. However, Yousafzai maintained that his name was not on the ECL and that he had no pending FIRs.
