PTI Lawyers Clash with Aleema Khan at Adiala Jail Gate

Tensions Rise Between Aleema Khan and Naeem Panjutha at Adiala Jail

RAWALPINDI – Tensions flared between PTI lawyers and Aleema Khan, sister of PTI Chairman Imran Khan, following a visit to Adiala Jail on Tuesday.

Reports suggest that after Aleema Khan and her sisters completed their meeting with Imran Khan inside the prison, a heated exchange occurred at the gate. Aleema Khan reprimanded the lawyers, asserting that only those assigned specific duties would be allowed to meet Imran Khan, and criticized others for visiting without any purpose.

She sternly told the lawyers that no one should file additional petitions without authorization, stressing that only Salman Akram and Salman Safdar had the authority to do so. Aleema Khan also questioned why her brother was being denied phone calls with his children and access to books.

Tensions escalated further when Aleema Khan confronted Naeem Panjutha, asking him about his role as Bushra Bibi’s focal person. Panjutha denied any meetings without informing her, which led to an exchange of words. Aleema Khan accused him of misbehaving, while Panjutha defended himself, citing their own legal troubles and jail time. In response, Aleema Khan firmly told him to remain silent.

Other lawyers intervened to calm the situation, but Aleema Khan continued to question what legal relief the lawyers had achieved for Imran Khan so far. The confrontation highlighted growing frustrations and differences among PTI’s legal team and leadership over Imran Khan’s legal matters.
