PTI, JUI-F leaders forge alliance, reject IMF budget

ISLAMABAD(Stafff Reporter); Former Speaker of the National Assembly and prominent PTI leader, Asad Qaiser, held a significant meeting with Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman, culminating in the establishment of a political committee aimed at fostering closer ties between their parties.
Accompanied by Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Central Deputy Secretary Information, Akhunzada Hussain Yousafzai, the leaders discussed various political issues, expressing particular concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Both leaders emphasized the need for political parties to collaborate in maintaining peace in the province, denouncing military operations as unsustainable solutions to societal issues.
Highlighting regional diplomacy, they pledged to strengthen opposition efforts within the National Assembly and foster fraternal relations with Afghanistan. They advocated for the establishment of economic corridors at border crossings to boost trade, spur economic stability, and generate employment opportunities.

Additionally, both parties jointly rejected the recent budget, labeling it as an IMF-driven agenda detrimental to the public’s welfare.
