PTI Internal Conflict Erupts as Leaked Audio Exposes False Claims
Akbar Criticizes PTI Factions, Willing to Relinquish Position

ISLAMABAD: A new controversy has emerged within Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) concerning the Swabi public gathering, as a leaked audio recording reveals that 90 per cent of the party officials spread false information about the event.
The audio, which surfaced from PTI’s provincial official Junaid Akbar, contains shocking claims. Akbar, in the recording, disclosed that he has access to detailed reports about individuals involved in spreading misleading statistics. He named several MPs, MNAs, and other officials who misrepresented facts related to the rally.
Akbar expressed his frustration, stating that those who spread false information should feel ashamed. He emphasized that he would forward these reports to PTI founder Imran Khan and even mentioned knowing specific details, such as the attire of some attendees at the event.
He also revealed that some party officials had sent him videos from other locations, including Islamabad, which he deemed misleading. Akbar condemned these actions, calling the perpetrators naïve, and vowed not to support anyone involved in spreading lies, regardless of their position within the party.

In a strong statement, Akbar asserted that holding a position within PTI was neither a desire nor an obligation for him, and he would gladly relinquish any responsibilities if necessary. He criticized the rise of internal factions within the party and the support given to individuals he believes are not aligned with the party’s core values.
“My commitment is to not support any wrongdoer, no matter how big they may be. If I cannot stand by my principles, I will leave my position. Only those who work for the party will rise. I will support such people,” Akbar concluded.
The revelation has further intensified the internal conflict within PTI, with Junaid Akbar pledging to back only those truly committed to the party’s cause and values.
