PTI Founder’s WhatsApp Messages with Faiz Hameed Surface, Spark Controversy
Rana Sanaullah Hints at Possible WhatsApp Messages Between Faiz Hameed and PTI Founder
Islamabad-Rana Sanaullah, political advisor to the prime minister, has hinted at the possibility of WhatsApp messages between former ISI chief General (retd) Faiz Hameed and the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) regarding the events of May 9. In an exclusive interview with ARY News, Sanaullah addressed questions about Faiz Hameed, stating that speculation about him is unnecessary as the institution has already provided a brief and concise statement.
Sanaullah alleged that Faiz Hameed used PTI for his purposes, including influencing the appointment of the Army Chief and securing favorable postings. He claimed that if these allegations were true, Faiz Hameed could not have acted alone, and the PTI founder must have been involved.
The former DG ISI was taken into military custody last month, and court-martial proceedings were initiated. The Pakistan Army’s media wing stated that a detailed court of inquiry was undertaken to ascertain the correctness of complaints made against Faiz Hameed.

Sanaullah speculated that there might be WhatsApp messages between Faiz Hameed and the PTI founder after Faiz Hameed’s retirement on May 9, and it is also possible that intermediaries facilitated their communication. He denied any meeting between Nawaz Sharif and General Bajwa’s father-in-law, Ejaz Amjad, in London.
