CJP Afridi Directs Prosecutors to Finalize Court Arguments

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-(Special Correspondent/Web desk) The Supreme Court on Monday issued notices to the Punjab government regarding bail appeals filed by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder in cases related to the events of May 9

A three-member bench led by Chief Justice Yahya Afridi instructed the prosecution department to prepare arguments on the legal questions raised in the case. The court then adjourned the hearing until August 19.Unity, Faith, Discipline: Exploring Jinnah’s Motto in the Context of Modern-Day Pakistan

During the hearing, the chief justice assured that the court would not make any remarks or findings that could harm either party’s case.

The chief justice also requested lawyers from both sides to assist the court in addressing the legal questions at the next hearing.
