Islamabad(Staff Reporter): PTI founder Imran Khan, Shah Mehmood moves ATC granted bail in May 9 case. Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has been granted bail by the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in 12 cases connected to the violent demonstrations that occurred on May 9, 2023, following his detention. These demonstrations, allegedly carried out by PTI supporters, involved assaults on various state and military facilities, including the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.

The court also granted bail to Shah Mehmood Qureshi in 13 cases linked to the same incidents. Both politicians were required to submit surety bonds for their release. The judge expressed dissatisfaction at the absence of public prosecutors during the hearing, and the bail was approved after the investigation officers failed to provide satisfactory explanations.
