PTI Founder Avoiding Polygraph Test for Third Time, Says Azma Bokhari

Bokhari Accuses PTI Founder of Evading Accountability for May 9 Incidents

Lahore— Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari has claimed that the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has once again refused to undergo a polygraph test, marking the third time he has declined to cooperate with the investigative process.

In a strong-worded statement, Bokhari alleged that the former prime minister has been evading the polygraph testing team for the past three days. “Sometimes he’s asleep, sometimes he’s eating, and at other times his lawyers are unavailable,” she remarked, suggesting deliberate avoidance.

She asserted that the PTI founder is struggling to come to terms with his conviction and incarceration, adding, “He still doesn’t believe that he is a convicted criminal and is in jail. This is not Bani Gala—it’s Adiala.”

Bokhari further criticized him for allegedly fearing exposure of his role in the May 9 incidents, calling him the “mastermind of May 9” who is now attempting to escape accountability. She emphasized that the Lahore police, acting on court orders, had visited Adiala Jail to conduct both polygraphic and photogrammetric tests.

She also accused the PTI founder of hypocrisy, stating, “His sisters and party leaders frequently cite court orders, yet he himself refuses to comply with them.”

Referring to the May 9 riots, Bokhari described the events as a rebellion and a conspiracy against the state. “All those involved and their facilitators will have to face the consequences,” she warned.

The statements come amid ongoing legal proceedings and investigations into the violent incidents of May 9, which the government labels an organized attack on state institutions.
