PPP Reverses Decision to Boycott Budget Session after Talks With Govt

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has reversed its decision to boycott the budget session following substantial progress in negotiations with the federal government.

Sources report that while the PPP has not yet decided on voting for the budget, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has directed all National Assembly members to attend the crucial budget meeting.

Under Bilawal Bhutto’s directives, PPP members actively participated in the ongoing budget discussions after productive engagements with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s administration.

Negotiation committees from both the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and PPP are set to convene again today to finalize a written agreement, encompassing all resolved issues from their discussions.

The shift in stance by PPP underscores renewed efforts towards consensus-building and parliamentary engagement amidst critical budget deliberations.
