Islamabad: Barrister Gohar, Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), hailed the Supreme Court’s recent ruling as a monumental win for justice, declaring that “today’s decision will be remembered in history.”

Speaking to the media outside the Supreme Court with PTI leaders, Barrister Gohar emphasized that the court had validated PTI’s claims of unfair treatment. “The Supreme Court has clarified that our rights were infringed upon, sending a strong message to those who sought to erase PTI.”

He praised the Supreme Court’s full bench for its fair judgment on PTI’s reserved seats, calling it a day of celebration for the 250 million citizens and patriotic forces of Pakistan. Gohar highlighted that 11 out of 13 judges had ruled in PTI’s favor, and urged the Election Commission to implement the court’s decision promptly.

Senator Shibli Faraz described the day as a significant milestone in Pakistan’s democratic and political history. “We have received only half of our mandate; the struggle is not over,” he stated, applauding the Supreme Court for upholding justice under challenging conditions.

Advocate Suleman Akram Raja termed the day as a golden one for Pakistan, marking a victory for the constitution. “We have won a legal battle, but the political fight continues,” he noted, emphasizing the need for the promotion of constitutionalism and democracy.

PTI leader Kanwal Shauzab remarked that the court had exposed the exploitation of democracy and the exclusion of PTI from elections. “Today’s verdict ends the injustice,” she said, expressing gratitude to the judiciary and her legal team for their role in the case.

Latif Khosa applauded the court’s decision, stating that it elevated the institution’s stature. He criticized the ongoing issues with the election mandate and called for Chief Election Commissioner’s resignation, asserting that true justice would only be achieved when the stolen mandate is returned.
