PTI Announces Protests Across Punjab: Demand for Imran Khan’s Release
Protests Set for October 11-14, Culminating in Nationwide Mobilization

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced plans for a series of protests in various cities across Punjab from October 11 to 14, calling for the release of party Founder Imran Khan and advocating for proposed constitutional amendments.
While the PTI prepares to rally supporters in several locations, its leadership has advised members of the National Assembly and Senate to avoid participating in the demonstrations.
PTI Central Punjab President Hammad Azhar confirmed the protest schedule in a post on X (formerly Twitter), encouraging public involvement. He noted that following the protests in Punjab, the party intends to mobilize supporters nationwide to converge in Islamabad for a major demonstration.
“The aim of the protest is to protect the sovereignty of the people,” Azhar stated.
In conjunction with this, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has directed party lawmakers to abstain from joining any political gatherings, meetings, rallies, or demonstrations.
The protests are a response to escalating political tensions, with the PTI expressing alarm over the imprisonment of its founder and the proposed constitutional amendments, which they believe threaten the democratic foundations of the country.

On October 13, PTI supporters will gather in the Dera Ghazi Khan division, culminating in significant gatherings in Lahore and Faisalabad on October 14.
