PTA Intensifies Digital Regulation with New Web Management System
The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has successfully upgraded and reactivated its Web Management System (WMS), boosting its efforts to tackle illegal mobile apps, websites, and online content.
Following the upgrade, the PTA has increased its enforcement actions against digital platforms that breach national regulations. Official records show that the WMS has already blocked 183 mobile applications deemed illegal, as well as 2,369 websites hosting prohibited content.
PTA Urges Fast VPN Policy Due to Network Issues
The enhanced system is effectively monitoring online content within its technical scope, ensuring that any platform violating Pakistan’s digital regulations is promptly blocked.
This upgrade is part of the PTA’s broader initiative to regulate the digital landscape and ensure that internet usage in the country complies with legal and ethical standards.
