PSL 11 to Begin on March 26 Without Spectators Amid Security Concerns

Lahore: (Web Desk) – Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, Mohsin Naqvi, has announced that Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 11 will begin as scheduled on March 26, but matches will be held without spectators.

Speaking at a press conference in Lahore, Naqvi said that consultations regarding the league had been ongoing, and it was decided to proceed with the tournament according to the original schedule.

He emphasized that the Pakistan Super League is an international brand featuring foreign players, making postponement difficult due to the lack of an available window later in the calendar.

The PCB chief further revealed that matches will be limited to just two cities — Karachi and Lahore — with a revised schedule to be issued soon. The new plan aims to minimize team travel.

Naqvi also confirmed that the opening ceremony has been canceled to cut costs, and the PCB will compensate franchises for gate revenue losses.

“In the current situation, it has been decided to hold matches without fans. Ticket holders will be refunded,” he said, while apologizing to cricket fans for the inconvenience.
