PSL 10: Islamabad United Suffer First Defeat as Lahore Qalandars Win by 88 Runs

Lahore — Lahore Qalandars handed Islamabad United their first defeat of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10, securing a commanding 88-run victory in the 19th match of the tournament at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.

After winning the toss, Islamabad United opted to field first. Batting first, Lahore Qalandars posted a formidable total of 209 for 6 in their allotted 20 overs.

Fakhar Zaman top-scored with 44 runs, followed by Sikandar Raza with 39, Sam Billings remained unbeaten on 38, Daryl Mitchell contributed 28, Mohammad Naeem 25, and Abdullah Shafique 22.

In response, Islamabad United were bowled out for 121 runs, falling well short of the target. Andre Gous scored 41, Agha Salman 36, and skipper Shadab Khan managed 13—the only batters to reach double figures.

Lahore Qalandars’ bowling was led by Haris Rauf, who claimed 4 wickets, while Sikandar Raza took 3 wickets, dismantling United’s batting order.

This dominant performance marked Islamabad United’s first loss in the ongoing PSL 10 season, while Lahore Qalandars delivered a strong all-round display to keep their playoff hopes alive.
