PSB Clears $115 Daily Allowance for Hockey Team
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has approved a daily allowance of $115 (Rs32,189) for each player of the 11-member national hockey team, aiming to ensure smooth participation in the upcoming FIH Pro League, local media reported on Thursday.
According to official sources, the PSB has instructed its finance wing to disburse the full allowance to all players prior to departure, underscoring its focus on timely payments and player welfare. Officials said the step is intended to allow players to concentrate fully on performance without financial or logistical stress during the international tour.
The board clarified that the allowance has been sanctioned strictly in line with the budget approved by the federal government. Director General Pakistan Sports Board Muhammad Yasir Pirzada confirmed that the approval complies with all government financial rules and applies exclusively to Pakistan’s participation in the FIH Pro League.
