“Probe Ordered into Theft of Paintings from Karachi’s Historic Ferrier Hall

Culture Minister Forms Committee to Investigate Stolen Paintings"

Karachi:(Asad Ali Shah)- Sindh Provincial Minister for Culture and Tourism Syed Zulfikar Ali Shah has taken strict notice of the theft of paintings from the historic Ferrier Hall building in Karachi.

Expressing his indignation, Minister Shah formed a two-member investigation committee comprising DG Culture and DG Antiquities to probe the matter and submit a report as soon as possible.

The disappearance of the paintings, created by young artists, came to light through social media. Minister Shah assured that all cultural values of Sindh will be protected and preserved, and promised to take strict action if any negligence or omission is found.

The investigation committee will thoroughly probe the matter and submit a comprehensive report. Further action will be taken based on the findings of the report.

Minister Shah emphasized the importance of preserving cultural heritage and protecting young artists, stating that they are the country’s capital and will not be tolerated with injustice.
