Prices for petroleum in Pakistan from November 1, 2025.

New fuel prices announced for Pakistan, effective from November 1 to November 15, 2025.

Islamabad – (Special Correspondent / Web Desk) – Starting November 1, 2025, and lasting until November 15, drivers in Pakistan will pay more for fuel. An official notice confirms that the price of petrol has gone up by Rs2.43 per litre. The new cost is now Rs265.45 per litre. Similarly, the price of diesel has increased by Rs3.02 per litre, setting its new price at Rs278.44 per litre.

Government officials explained that this change is due to shifts in the global oil market. The update helps keep local fuel prices in line with international costs. They are encouraging people to note these new rates and manage their fuel use wisely during the first half of November. These regular price checks are done to ensure fair costs for everyone as world oil prices change.

A large part of what consumers pay at the pump is actually made up of different taxes and charges. For every litre of petrol, taxes and fees add up to Rs101.49. This includes a significant petroleum development levy of Rs75.52 and a new climate charge of Rs2.50. Other costs like shipping, oil company profit, and station dealer profit are also included. The base price of the petrol itself, before any charges, is Rs165.30 per litre.

The story is similar for diesel. Taxes and duties on each litre total Rs95.74. This also contains a large petroleum levy of Rs74.51 and the same Rs2.50 climate charge. After including other margins, the base price for diesel before charges is Rs177.24 per litre. This breakdown shows how government taxes and other fees make up a major part of the final price people pay for fuel.
