CPO/ DIG Operations Islamabad chaired an important meeting regarding crime prevention. The meeting was attended by AIGs, SSPs, Zonal DPOs, SDPOs, and Officers In-Charge of all police stations.
Islamabad: Prevention of crime and protection of citizen utmost priority CPO. According to the details, the CPO/DIG Operations Islamabad Syed Shehzad Nadeem Bukhari has categorically directed all police officials to maintain high vigilance in the city to eradicate crimes and ensure an effective crackdown against criminals, a public relations officer said.
He said that, CPO/ DIG Operations Islamabad chaired an important meeting regarding crime prevention. The meeting was attended by AIGs, SSPs, Zonal DPOs, SDPOs, and Officers In-Charge of all police stations.
During the meeting, the performance of all police stations was reviewed, and officers were directed not to compromise on professionalism. They were given a two-day deadline to improve performance, and another meeting will be held afterwards where penalties will be imposed for any shortcomings.

Dolphin Squad, mobile patrol vans, and checkposts under the supervision of SDPO’s will be mobilized. Strict actions will be taken against bribery, misconduct, and mistreatment of citizens. Complaints regarding existing corruption will be addressed.
A WhatsApp number has been provided for complaints about corruption, misconduct, and inappropriate behavior. Citizens’ complaints will be directly addressed, and action will be taken. Overstepping authority will not be tolerated. Protection of citizens’ lives, property, and dignity is paramount.
All Officers in-charge police stations will remain present in their police stations. A weekly crime assessment meeting will be held, and penalties will be imposed for any negligence.
It was further stated that stringent actions will be taken against kite flying, aerial firing, one-wheeling, and those involved in motorbike thefts. Organized and effective strategies will be implemented to combat crime and apprehend criminals.
Associates and facilitators of criminals will also be arrested. Ensure the swift arrest and prosecution of those involved in motorcycle theft cases. Measures will be taken to curb drug trafficking, especially within educational institutions, and comprehensive operational strategies will be developed to combat crime.
Officials were directed to arrest the professional beggars and their accomplices and prosecute them. Expedite the process of filing challans in cases under investigation and expedite their submission to the relevant courts.
All officers should set an example with their discipline. All SDPOs were instructed to make patrolling more effective and purposeful. The protection of citizens’ lives and property is our top priority, and there will be no tolerance for any negligence, he maintained.
Two wanted members of bike lifter gang held; four stolen motorbikes recovered
Islamabad Capital Police Shahzad town police teams arrested two wanted members of a motorbike lifter gang involved in numerous bike lifting activities and recovered four stolen motorbikes and spare parts from their possession, a public relations officer said.
He said that, the Islamabad Capital Police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
The Shahzad Town police team used technical and human resources and succeeded in apprehending two wanted members of a motorbike lifter gang involved in numerous criminal activities.
The accused were identified as Abdul Jabber and Amjad. Police team also recovered four stolen motorbikes and spare parts from their possession. Cases were registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
Citizens are urged to cooperate with the police and report any suspicious individuals or activities through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” or via “ICT-15” mobile application.
