President Zardari,PM Shehbaz, Urges Strengthening Democracy and Political Unity

President Asif Ali Zardari has highlighted the importance of further strengthening parliamentary democracy and fostering political stability to guide the country towards development.

These remarks were made during a dinner at the President House in Islamabad, hosted in honor of parliamentarians from the Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians, Awami National Party, PML-Q, and Ishtehkam-e-Pakistan Party.

Addressing the nation’s current challenges, the President stressed the need for political unity to address issues related to politics, the economy, and security. He also urged the promotion of tolerance, mutual respect, and the fortification of democratic institutions.

He said political, economic, and governance reforms are essential for improving public service delivery and bringing economic prosperity. He urged the need to rise above partisan interests and committedly work for the welfare of the people.

President Asif Ali Zardari said he is against the politics of confrontation that harmed the country.

The Prime Minister has urged for political stability and the continuation of established policies.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif says political stability and continuity of policies are vital for progress of the country.He expressed these views while addressing a dinner hosted in the honor of parliamentarians from the coalition parties in Islamabad last night.

The Prime Minister highlighted that the inflation rate’s drop to 9.6 percent in August reflects the success of the government’s economic policies. He noted that economic experts predict a further decrease in inflation this month, which is encouraging news for the country.

The Prime Minister also emphasized that the government’s efforts to prevent default have been successful, thanks to divine grace, and that the benefits of economic reforms are starting to be felt by the public in terms of increased prosperity.

Shehbaz Sharif mentioned that the digitization of the economy is in progress, and that measures are being taken to streamline and reduce government expenditures.

Regarding electricity tariffs, he assured that the government is working to provide relief to low-income and disadvantaged groups.
