President Zardari Announces Reduction in Sentences for Prisoners on Eid-ul-Fitr
105 Prisoners Released from Adiala Jail After Sentence Reduction
ISLAMABAD: After President Asif Ali Zardari‘s announcement of reducing the sentences of prisoners on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, the number of prisoners benefiting from the reduction and release has been revealed.
According to documents received, a total of 196 prisoners at Central Jail Lahore and 183 prisoners at Adiala Jail had their sentences reduced.
In Adiala Jail, 183 prisoners had their sentences shortened, and 105 of them were released after completing their reduced sentences. These prisoners were freed two days ago from Adiala Jail.

Sources from the jail confirmed that the release took place following the completion of their sentence reduction.
