President Zardari and PM Shehbaz Sharif Hold Key Meeting on Constitutional Amendment

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif convened an important meeting in Islamabad on Friday.

According to reports, the president and prime minister discussed the final draft of the constitutional amendment. PM Shehbaz had earlier consulted senior lawmakers regarding the amendment.

He briefed the lawmakers on his recent meeting with JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman.

The prime minister’s meeting with Rehman took place yesterday, with Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar accompanying him.

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari also participated in the consultations.
