Key political parties in Pakistan agree to a public truce, promising to end hostile statements and reduce tensions.

PPP – PML-N – (Special Correspondent / Web Desk) – The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) have agreed not to make aggressive statements against each other.
According to details revealed on Thursday, both parties have agreed not to make public statements against each other. The PML-N delegation convinced President Asif Ali Zardari to alleviate political tensions between the ruling party and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq arrived in Nawabshah from Islamabad by special aircraft. Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi also had reached Nawabshah separately from Lahore.

President Zardari welcomed the delegation at the Zardari House. Ishaq Dar, Ayaz Sadiq and Mohsin Naqvi took part in the meeting, which reviewed the national security and political situation and included discussion on regional and global matters.

During the meeting, Ishaq Dar gave President Zardari an account of the recent session of the United Nations General Assembly. He also briefed him on meetings held with international leaders and issues of regional significance.

Sources said that Ishaq Dar and Ayaz Sadiq delivered a message from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to President Zardari. In response, both parties agreed not to issue statements against each other.

The PML-N delegation departed following the meeting in a cordial atmosphere. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also left after his meeting with the President. He played a significant role in lowering political tension between the two parties.
