A significant explosion near a police vehicle on the Eastern Bypass in Quetta injured nine individuals, including one police officer, according to reports from local authorities.
The blast, which was reportedly triggered by a remote-controlled device, occurred early this morning, creating panic in the area.
Authorities confirmed that the explosive device was hidden in a motorcycle parked along the roadside.
The explosion caused extensive damage to the police vehicle and a nearby rickshaw. Emergency response teams quickly arrived at the scene and transported the injured to a local hospital, with one person reported to be in critical condition.
Police and security forces have sealed off the area and launched an investigation into the incident. As of now, no group has taken responsibility for the attack, and law enforcement is actively working to identify those responsible.
