A touching tribute from his national team and former clubs.

Portugal – (Special Correspondent / Web Desk) – The Portuguese national football team is remembering their player, Diogo Jota. After Jota sadly passed away in a car accident, the team wanted to honor him. The team’s coach, Roberto Martinez, made a special announcement. He has given Jota’s number 21 shirt to his close friend, Ruben Neves.

Neves and Jota were very good friends and used to play together at Wolverhampton Wanderers. Neves was even a pallbearer at Jota’s funeral, showing how close they were. Jota, who played for Liverpool, died in northwestern Spain. He was only 28 years old.
