ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – Polio cases in Pakistan have increased after a new infection was confirmed in North Waziristan, officials reported on Tuesday.
According to the National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC), the total number of polio cases in the country has reached 31 so far in 2025. Health authorities said the sample from the newly confirmed case was collected earlier this year.

To curb the spread of the virus, a nationwide polio eradication campaign is scheduled to take place from February 2 to February 8. During the drive, more than 45 million children across the country will be administered polio drops.
Health officials have urged parents to cooperate with vaccination teams and ensure their children receive the polio vaccine to protect them from the disease.
