Police Thwart Terrorist Attack on Lakki Marwat Check Post

Bannu: (Web Desk) Police thwarted a terrorist attack in Lakki Marwat by taking timely and effective action.

According to police, around 15 armed terrorists launched an attack late at night on the Takhti Khel Police Check Post, located within the jurisdiction of Sarai Naurang Police Station in Lakki Marwat. Police personnel responded immediately with heavy return fire, forcing the attackers to flee.

DPO Lakki Marwat Nazir Khan stated that the police are fully prepared to counter Fitna-al-Khawarij and that the swift response to the attack is clear evidence of their readiness. He added that the police are confronting anti-peace elements with full force and determination.

The DPO emphasized that no compromise will be made on the protection of the lives and property of the public.

Following the incident, security in the area has been further tightened, while a search operation is underway to track down the fleeing terrorists.
