Sargodha Bar’s Gen Sec arrested for holding press conference against Imran Khan’s arrest

Lahore_Punjab police intensified the investigation of the Jinnah House attack case and obtained non-bailable arrest warrants for 268 undercover PTI workers from the Lahore Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC).

Lahore Anti-Terrorism Court issued non-bailable warrants for the accused on the request of the police.

Police said that 268 more accused have been named in the Jinnah House attack case in the light of the statements of the accused.

It is pertinent to note that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday said that the May 9 riots were a rebellion against the Pakistan Armed Forces and COAS General Syed Asim Munir. He was addressing his farewell speech in the joint session of parliament.

Law enforcement agencies Thursday arrested the General Secretary of District Bar Sargodha Zameer Shirazi for holding a press conference against the arrest of Imran Khan.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, the law enforcement agencies arrested the secretary from the Sargodha Bar and shifted to the Cantt Police Station on Thursday.

The sources said that Zameer Shirazi held a press conference on the arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan in the Toshakhana case.

He also led a protest against the arrest of the Sargodha Bar’s former president Shafqat Awan, the sources said.

Zameer Shirazi was protesting the arrest of former President Bar Shafqat Awan.

The sources said that as a Secretary, Zameer Shirazi had announced a complete strike from the Sargodha bar against the arrest of Shafqat Awan too.
