PMLN expressed willingness to talks with Imran Khan

Lahore: (Staff Reporter) The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) expressed willingness to go into talks with Imran Khan-led PTI without any prior condition to stem political turmoil in the country. The decision was made at a party meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif a day after Mr. Khan invited the coalition government for talks to discuss election date in the country.

Furthermore Mr. Khan on Friday gave ultimatum to the government to either hold talks or give a date for fresh elections or the PTI would dissolve the provincial assemblies in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Sources quoted the participants in the PML-N meeting as having said that the talks could be held with PTI if Mr Khan was serious for it.

According to the sources, holding negotiations was a positive gesture, but there should not be any precondition, they said, adding that the government also sought an end to the political deadlock in the country. Earlier in the day, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said the PTI chairman had always indulged his opponents in fake cases, but never responded to the “illegalities” he himself committed.

Moreover watches stolen from Toshakhana were sold out and the entire country was mocked,” he told reporters outside a court in the federal capital. He said it’s not possible to make advancement in the country’s politics without holding dialogues and talks, adding Imran Khan first time indicated that he was ready to sit along his political opponents.

Sanaullah was of the view that all stakeholders needed to be on board for the smooth running of political affairs.
