PML-N’s Irfan Siddiqui Criticizes Opposition for Delayed Demands, Stresses Dialogue Continuity

LAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader and Senator Irfan Siddiqui criticized the opposition on Tuesday for their delay in presenting demands, 20 days after the initiation of talks.

Speaking to journalists in Islamabad, Siddiqui, who serves as the spokesperson for the government’s negotiation committee, highlighted the extensive time taken by the opposition for deliberations. He noted that while the government will also require time to respond, their reaction would be expedited in comparison.

“The opposition took ample time for their deliberations, and we will also require time to respond. However, our reaction will not take as long,” Siddiqui assured.

He further stated that coalition political parties were actively contributing to the committee’s proceedings, ensuring comprehensive consultation before any response is finalized.

Siddiqui underscored the necessity of seeking input from party leaders and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif before providing a formal response to the opposition’s.
