PML-N Shares Misleading Video of Imran Khan Praising Nawaz Sharif
Several members of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) shared a video of former Prime Minister Imran Khan on social media, falsely claiming that he was praising Nawaz Sharif. Upon investigation, it was revealed that the video had been altered and dubbed, making the claims misleading. The video was also circulated on Instagram.
In the original 90-second clip, Imran Khan actually commended Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, noting that despite his disagreements with Bhutto, he respected how Bhutto stood up for the country’s dignity and sovereignty.
A closer examination of the viral video shows subtle edits, particularly at the three and nine-second marks, where the audio of Khan’s speech was modified and replaced with different audio, creating a false impression for viewers.
This altered video gained traction on social media, especially on X (formerly Twitter), with claims that Imran Khan was endorsing Nawaz Sharif and encouraging him to fight for Pakistan.

On September 30, PML-N members widely shared this manipulated video. However, the original footage, uploaded on March 15, 2022, on 24 News’ YouTube channel, featured Khan addressing overseas Pakistanis and praising Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, not Nawaz Sharif.
