Shehbaz, COAS Visit Troops in Sialkot, Hail Bravery in Operation Bunyanum Marsoos

Rawalpindi: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, accompanied by senior cabinet members including the Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister, Defence Minister, Minister for Planning and Development, and the Information Minister, paid a high-profile visit to Pasrur Cantonment, Sialkot, to acknowledge the outstanding bravery and professionalism of the armed forces during Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, a major military engagement under The Marqa-e-Haq.

The Prime Minister was received by Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), and Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, NI (M), along with Corps Commander Gujranwala.

During the visit, the Prime Minister was given a detailed briefing on the successful conduct of the operation and the operational preparedness of the Corps. He praised the military for delivering a swift and decisive response to India’s recent aggression, describing the troops’ performance as “heroic and unmatched in precision and resolve.”

Speaking to officers and frontline personnel, the Prime Minister lauded their high morale and unwavering readiness. He declared:

“The valiant Armed Forces of Pakistan, fortified by the unwavering resolve of the nation, defended the motherland in a heroic manner and dealt a decisive blow to the adversary’s dastardly aggression.”

Condemning the targeting of civilians by Indian forces, the Prime Minister called such actions shameful and a blatant violation of international law. He reiterated Pakistan’s call for neutral investigations—an offer ignored by India—and assured that the nation stands firmly with its defenders.

“Pakistan takes immense pride in its brave sons; they are the crown jewels of the nation. Our martyrs are our pride, and the nation will forever remain indebted to their sacrifice,” he affirmed.

The visit underscored national unity and military preparedness in the face of external threats, reinforcing the government’s full support for the Armed Forces of Pakistan.
