PM Shehbaz Visits Gilgit-Baltistan to Review Flood Damage and Relief Efforts

Gilgit-(Special Correspondent/Webdeesk) : Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Gilgit on Monday for a one-day visit to assess the damage caused by recent flash floods and heavy monsoon rains in the region.

The visit aims to review relief operations and meet families affected by the disaster.

Upon arrival at Gilgit Airport, the Prime Minister was received by Governor Syed Mehdi Shah and Chief Minister Gulbar Khan.

He was accompanied by a high-level federal delegation comprising key cabinet members.

The delegation included Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, Minister for Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan Affairs Engineer Amir Muqam, Minister for Climate Change Dr. Musaddiq Malik, Advisor to the PM Rana Sanaullah, and Coordinator Shabbir Usmani.

During his visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz is scheduled to meet with residents impacted by the floods and distribute relief funds as part of the federal government’s continued assistance to the region.

Officials will brief the premier on the scale of infrastructure damage, property loss, and the status of ongoing humanitarian and rehabilitation efforts.
