PM Shehbaz Unveils Rs38 Billion Ramadan Relief Package
Under the initiative, each deserving family will receive Rs13,000
Islamabad: (Web Desk) – The Prime Minister of Pakistan has announced a special Ramadan Relief Package, allocating Rs38 billion to support deserving families across the country. The package was formally launched when the Prime Minister inaugurated it by pressing a button.
According to the Prime Minister, the funds will be transferred through digital wallets and digital bank accounts to eligible families in Islamabad, all four provinces, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Under the initiative, each deserving family will receive Rs13,000 during the holy month of Ramadan without any discrimination. More than 2.1 million families who are not part of any existing government welfare programme will also benefit from the scheme.
In addition, Rs10 billion has been allocated for nearly 10 million families already registered under government social protection programmes. In total, financial assistance will be distributed among 12.1 million families, benefiting around 60 million people nationwide.
The Prime Minister stated that all payments will be made transparently through bank accounts and digital wallets. A high-level committee comprising federal ministers will oversee the implementation of the Ramadan package at every stage.
For public convenience, a dedicated helpline 9999 has also been established to provide information and address complaints related to the relief programme.
