RIYADH: In a landmark meeting steeped in mutual respect and solidarity, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, convened at Al-Safa Palace in Makkah Al-Mukarramah on April 7, to reaffirm and elevate the enduring bond between their nations.

Amidst global challenges, the leaders addressed the pressing issue of the situation in Gaza, expressing grave concern over the humanitarian crisis and calling for urgent international intervention to halt Israeli military operations. They emphasized the need for adherence to international law, humanitarian aid access, and advancing the peace process in line with relevant UN resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
Furthermore, the importance of dialogue between Pakistan and India to resolve outstanding issues, particularly the Jammu and Kashmir dispute, was emphasized as pivotal to ensuring regional peace and stability.
