According to the sources, the meeting was attended by Army Chief General Asim Munir, DG ISI, DG Military Operations (DG MO), and other senior military officials. Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, IG Islamabad Police, and Chief Commissioner Islamabad were also present.
Sources stated that the prime minister was briefed in detail on the recent developments concerning Islamabad’s security, including concerns related to potential escalations in the city. The participants were updated on the aftermath of the recent threats and security breaches in the capital, while special focus was given to the preparation for the SCO summit.
The Karachi terrorism incident and the overall security situation of the country were also discussed at length, with the military leadership providing input on counter-terrorism strategies.
