PM Shehbaz Sharif Meets Saudi Crown Prince on Future Investment Forum Sidelines

Riyadh-(Special Correspondent): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman on Tuesday, on the sidelines of the 8th Future Investment Initiative Forum in Riyadh.

During the meeting, PM Sharif conveyed his best wishes to King Salman bin Abdulaziz, wishing him health and wellness. He expressed gratitude to Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman for Saudi Arabia’s backing in Pakistan’s engagements with global financial institutions.

The Prime Minister thanked the Crown Prince for the warm hospitality shown to him and his delegation. He noted that Saudi Vision 2030 aligns well with Pakistan’s core policy goals, providing a strong basis for mutual development.

Both leaders reaffirmed their dedication to strengthening collaboration in trade, investment, and economic growth. PM Sharif also highlighted a recent visit by a Saudi delegation, led by the Saudi Investment Minister, where numerous Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed, further cementing the economic partnership.

Beyond economic discussions, the two leaders voiced serious concern over ongoing Israeli actions in the region, recognizing the severe destruction caused.

Global Development Linked to Peace in Gaza: PM Sharif

Earlier, while addressing the 8th Future Investment Initiative, PM Sharif spoke on the urgent situation in Gaza, stressing that achieving global development goals will be challenging without an immediate end to the violence. The forum, themed “Infinite Horizons: Investing Today, Shaping Tomorrow,” gathered leaders to discuss investments in vital sectors, including artificial intelligence, robotics, education, energy, finance, healthcare, and sustainability.

In his remarks, PM Sharif underscored Pakistan’s deep concerns regarding the escalating Gaza crisis and highlighted the importance of international collaboration for peace.
