PM Shehbaz Sharif Condemns Quetta Railway Station Bombing, Demands Detailed Report from Balochistan Government
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the bombing at Quetta’s railway station early this morning, which tragically claimed at least 24 lives and left around 57 others injured. He instructed the Balochistan government to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident and provide a comprehensive report.
Expressing sorrow and extending his condolences to the affected families, the Prime Minister emphasized the urgent need to ensure all possible medical assistance is provided to the injured. He assured that those responsible for targeting innocent civilians will face strict punishment.
Acting President Yousuf Raza Gilani also conveyed deep sympathies to the bereaved families, condemning the attack and calling terrorists “enemies of humanity” for their intentional targeting of civilians. Gilani reiterated the government’s resolve to counter terrorism with all necessary measures.
National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq voiced solidarity with the grieving families, stating his support in their time of loss. Condemning the attackers, he labeled them as threats to humanity. Similarly, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed grief over the incident, stressing that these “cowardly” acts aimed at destabilizing Pakistan will not be tolerated. He pledged that the nation stands united against such “malicious conspiracies” targeting the country’s stability.
Prime Minister Shehbaz has called for swift action and a comprehensive probe to bring those responsible to justice, while senior officials across the government have reaffirmed their commitment to upholding security in the face of such attacks.
