Shehbaz Sharif Reviews Relief Measures, Assures Support to Public

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting economically vulnerable segments of society, stating that public relief remains the top priority.

Chairing a high-level meeting, the Prime Minister reviewed the country’s petroleum reserves and ongoing relief initiatives. The meeting was attended by Federal Ministers Mosaddiq Malik, Attaullah Tarar, and Ali Pervaiz Malik.

During the session, it was highlighted that financial relief has already been initiated for public transport and freight sectors. Subsidies are being distributed through digital wallets under a transparent and efficient system.

The Prime Minister noted that digital transfers have been implemented for public buses as well as goods transport vehicles, ensuring that assistance reaches beneficiaries directly without delays or leakages.

Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that the government is making every effort to provide immediate relief to the common man and assured that citizens will not be left alone during challenging times. He further stated that savings generated through austerity measures will be redirected toward public welfare.

Officials also briefed the meeting that Pakistan currently holds sufficient petroleum reserves to meet national demand, while progress on relief initiatives continues steadily.
